Update!

Sorry, I know I have been horrible lately about posting. The last year and a half has been one long financial struggle, and I rarely want to post about hard things. Perhaps that is wrong of me, but I worry about giving the wrong impression when I tell about our circumstances. Be assured that our spirits are doing well. I am not depressed or scared, if anything I have learned to be curious to see what the Lord does next, as my sight is limited. Despite the seeming impossibility of it, we are still in our home. For unknown and miraculous reasons, the bank keeps sending our case to the wrong department. Our house has been up for short sale since May, and we have two offers on it. We are still showing the house, and simply waiting for the bank to decide what they want us to do. I am getting used to this waiting game.

Meanwhile, my inlaws are getting their home ready, they should have carpet and tile done this week (cross our fingers!) Scott is going to school full-time, he has 14 credits. He is absolutely loving it! He has been able to keep up with his assignments. He was worried about catching up with his reading, as he was working full-time too. My dad gave him a blessing that told him he would be able to catch up, and stay caught up, and to allow everything to balance out. The very next week, Scott was forced into quiting. So, for the last week, he has been able to work really hard at school, and still play with us a bit too!

It is a strange thing to find yourself thinking of your husband's lack of work as a blessing, but we have found it very freeing. We are looking for work, trying to find something that will work with his schedule at school. In the mean time, we are truly depending on the Lord for what he will provide, and that trust is very helpful. My greatest prayer is that we are aware of the promptings that will guide us. Both Scott and I are doing our best to make sure our part of the work is done.

We are in an odd situation, as we hear rumors that some old investments might be returned. If that happens, then our immediate financial concerns will be taken care of, and we can make a more solid plan for our future. However, as we have already been waiting for that to happen for almost two years, we are hopeful but not counting any chicken :) So, here is our update. We are fine in almost every way, and have faith enough to know that things will work themselves out. . . eventually. However, if you hear of any jobs that would work around a school schedule, we would be grateful to hear about them!

We do have a home phone number now, so if you want to get ahold of us, I will send it to you by email. Love you all!

Jake said he saw Scott last week on campus :) I'm sorry things have been so difficult financially. I feel really lucky that we live in my parent's apartment. Because of that, Jake is able to go to school. Since he's only working part-time, things are definitely tight for us, but I'm ok with it. Life is good and we are happy. And that's what's important!

Sorry to hear of your financial struggles. I am not sure about jobs in Cedar since we are not there anymore, but our friend Logan is in HR at the Leavett group. You might try there. Good Luck!

Have you looked for any on-campus jobs. You can find a listing on the suu website.

Hope that helps a little.
