Oh, the Joy!

Daniel has been very cranky lately. Spurts of cheerfulness followed by explosions of high pitched temper tantrums. I was wondering if it was just the terrible two's kicking in a little early, but then I checked his mouth yesterday. He has 5 teeth coming in at the same time! One molar and four eye teeth. The last burst of teething brought 3 molars and an intense fever. Hopefully this time won't be so bad.

Meanwhile, we hear our house should be finished by the 23 of January, and we are hoping to close by the 30th. So I am going to start another dejunking regime. It is amazing the kind if crap you can accumulate in only a month and a half.

I am still in the middle of "morning sickness," which for me isn't as bad as most women. I haven't actually thrown up, but I have waves of nausea which can last all day. I also get extremely tired. I feel pretty good, if I am relaxing on the couch, but as soon as I get up to do things, I feel sick again. However, it isn't always consistent. There are mornings when I feel great! I get up, do dishes, clean up, etc. These days I know I better get things done, cause the evening time is when I am not going to feel up to doing anything. Add my little toddler and his desire to play with Mommy, and my poor house (basement) is the one that truly suffers. I think it is worse because we are living out of boxes, so even when it is clean, it doesn't feel orderly and nice. I hate working and cleaning, and not having the satisfaction that my house looks nice. Morning sickness has changesd my routine. The first goal of the day is to eat. This may or may not help me feel good enough to move on to my second goal, which is to get dressed in day clothes. After that, anything extra that gets done is quite the accomplishment.

If that happens, I am sure to tell Scott, and he congratulates me for it. I have found that I feel better when I leave the basement. Unfortunately, the basement gets dusty and stale, not to mention the fact that if our dog isn't washed regularly, he stinks. The Groomer told us the main reason for how strong he smells is that he isn't neutered. So, we are setting up an appointment to take care of that little issue. Anything to keep him from making my house smell like dog. If that doesn't work, the poor pooch will be strictly outdoors. He won't like it, he is incredibly social, but I do not like being hit with the smell of musky dog everytime I come downstairs.
